A Look into the Mind of a Creative Learner Heinemann 1993 Christopher Lee is perceptually disabled - the way his brain
process language interferes with his ability to understand and use written and
spoken English. Branded disabled by a system that ignored his strengths and
fearing every encounter with the English language, Christopher devised clever
methods of faking his way through school. The disguise worked well, gaining him
acceptance as a special student to the University of Georgia. But there he found
his faking wouldn't work- he has to recognize and confront his problem. At the
University's Learning Disabilities Adult clinic, he met Rosemary Jackson and
after five years of intensive work with her, Christopher graduated from the
University in 1990. He lost the need to fake it. And he wrote this book. Purchase Faking It at Amazon.com
